The Benefits of Avocado for Baby

The benefits of avocado for baby has been recommended by doctors and nutritionists. The provision of avocado as a companion of breastfeed or as an adjunct can be started from babies aged 6 months upwards.

Avocado is a high nutritious food, just like bananas and oranges. The nutritional content in avocado is very high, as well as its fat content. The good news is that the fat content in avocado is Monounsaturated fat which is the healthiest form of fat. Avocados also contain lots vitamins and minerals.


The nutrient in Avocado can meet the needs of your baby. There are at least 11 vitamins and 14 minerals in avocado, including vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, minerals potassium, iron, sodium, fosfor, manganese, folic acid, cellulose fiber and potassium.  

How to serve
Avocado can be served without any extra or as a mixture with other foods. Choose avocados that are mature enough. Cut two. Discard the seeds. Scrape the flesh with a spoon. Strain using a fine filter to separate the fiber. The result can you give to your baby. If you want to give a sense, you can add milk or honey. Avoid other sweeteners added.

You also can process the avocado by mixing with other food ingredients such as avocado pulp. You can create first rice porridge with the addition of chicken or beef broth. After the porridge is cooked, blender it with avocado that has been filtered. Add to the milk and give to your baby while warm. You can also mix the avocado with a potato and steamed pumpkin that has been cooked.
