Apples are the fruit of apple tree that belonging to family Rosaceae. Apples have become so popular that can be purchased at many places including markets, supermarkets and foods stores.

Many people are aware that apple is a high nutritious fruit and therefore there is a proverb which says "eat an apple a day keeps the doctor away". Even so, not many people know the real health benefits of apples. Apple has a numerous of health benefits. Here are some of them:

Apples contain pectin which is a type of fiber that dissolves in water. Pectin helps bind and remove toxins from the body. Due to its high fiber content, apples can stabilize blood sugar levels so that it can also control the appetite.

Apple juice is also believed to be able to kill the bacteria that cause infections which lead the body becomes more resistant to influenza and other infections. Chewing apples also helps clean the teeth and due to its high content of vitamin C, it also can help prevent bleeding gums.

In addition to vitamin C and fiber, apples are also rich in vitamins A and carbohydrates which are essential to the body health.
